We keep on emphasizing on this subject and I even call my target audience as Practical Buyers. The value of practical buying is deeply rooted in my core because this concept has saved me and my family from extreme financial problems and misery. Hope you learn some lessons from my experience.

Back in the days when I was still financially struggling, I have no control over my finances. This is probably because of impulsive buying and purchasing things with no specific purpose in mind why I bought those items. This led us to accumulating "trash" in our house. This means that I am just collecting things that I don't really need. I buy it from promos and sale that says buy-one-take-one or if you buy this, you get this marketing strategy.

Since I don't have control over my spending, my cash flow was negatively affected as well. Instead of saving, growing and investing my hard earned money, I just kept on splurging my cash on purposeless buying. Maybe it's just my way of releasing some stress in my life. But before I knew my credit card bills are already eating up my cash because of very high interest rate of borrowing. And this has worsen my situation instead.

Good thing, I was able to wake up on my senses and found myself thinking and reflecting on how to get out of this bad situation. Fortunately, I was able to get mentors and books on how to get out of debt and learn how to achieve financial success. When I started my own business, the excess cash I earn from it was saved and reinvested in the business. It takes self-control and discipline to make it work. I started to budget and monitor my income and expenses. I made sure that I was able to save and invest.

A special ingredient to a successful personal finance management is by being purposeful, practical and strategic on my spending. I was able to do that because of Practical Buying and Purposeful Spending. This is what we are proposing in this blog and how can you incorporate that mindset of buying into your daily life. Buying is something that we do regularly, we just can't get away with it.
